Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling:

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and 1/2 cup cream cheese until light and fluffy.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Chill the Dough:
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or until firm.
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Form the Cookies:
Once the dough is chilled, scoop out a tablespoon-sized portion and flatten it in your palm. Place about a teaspoon of the chilled cream cheese filling in the center and fold the dough over to seal. Roll into a ball and place on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough and filling.
Bake the Cookies:
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Coat with Cinnamon Sugar:
In a shallow bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. While the cookies are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
