Ingredients
4
3 lbs hamburger meat
1 medium yellow onion, chopped
Seasonings to taste
Directions
1. Start by browning the hamburger meat in a large pot over medium heat. Let it get a nice sear for extra flavor.
2. Add the chopped onion, stirring it in, and cook until it’s soft and translucent.
3. Peel and chop your potatoes, then add them to the pot. Pour in enough water to just cover everything.
4. Sprinkle in your favorite seasonings—salt, pepper, maybe a little garlic powder or whatever you love.
5. Bring the broth to a gentle simmer and let it cook until the potatoes are wonderfully tender.
6. Taste and adjust your seasonings if you need to, then ladle up a hot bowl and enjoy.
