Ingredients
1 jar (about 24 oz) pizza sauce
1 cup sliced pepperoni
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), so it’s nice and hot when you’re ready to bake.
2. Cook the rotini pasta according to the package instructions until just al dente. Drain it and set aside—don’t worry if it sticks together a bit; it’ll all get saucy soon.
3. In a large bowl, stir together the cooked pasta, pizza sauce, sliced pepperoni, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Give it a good mix so everything is well coated.
4. Lightly grease a casserole dish. Spoon in half of the pasta mixture, spreading it evenly.
5. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella over the pasta layer, letting it settle into all the nooks.
6. Add the rest of the pasta mixture, then top with the remaining mozzarella and all of the Parmesan cheese for that deliciously cheesy blanket.
7. Slide the casserole into the oven and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until the cheese on top is bubbly and golden.
8. Let your casserole cool for a few minutes before serving—just enough time for everyone to gather around the table. Enjoy!
