Ingredients:
– 12 jumbo pasta shells
– 1 cup ricotta cheese
– 1 cup marinara sauce
– 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
– 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– Salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to the instructions on the package, then drain them and let them cool. Meanwhile, brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Once it’s cooked, drain the excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce. As soon as it’s well combined, remove it from the heat.
In a separate bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and a pinch each of salt and pepper. Take your cooled pasta shells and fill each one with the ricotta mixture. Arrange them neatly in a baking dish. Spoon the beef and marinara sauce mixture over the top, making sure each shell gets a generous helping. Finally, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan over everything.
Cover the dish with foil and pop it in the oven for 25 minutes. After that, remove the foil and let it bake for another 10 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden. Once it’s done, serve hot and enjoy this comforting, hearty dish!
