Ingredients
1 T-Bone steak
Black pepper
Butter
Garlic
Fresh herbs (like thyme or rosemary)
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
2. Sprinkle your T-Bone steak generously with salt and black pepper on both sides, making sure every bit is covered.
3. Set a wire rack on a baking sheet, lay the steak on top, and pop it in the oven. Let it roast until the internal temperature hits 125°F (52°C) for that perfect medium-rare, which usually takes about 45 to 60 minutes.
4. Once the steak is up to temperature, take it out and let it rest for 10 minutes. This helps keep all those delicious juices right where you want them.
5. Meanwhile, place a skillet over high heat. Toss in a good pat of butter, some smashed garlic cloves, and a handful of your favorite fresh herbs.
6. When the butter starts to foam, lay the steak in the skillet. Sear it for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until a beautiful crust forms.
7. Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving so it’s tender and flavorful. Enjoy!
