How to clean a sofa using the towel method: remove dust and stains
Sofas and armchairs are prone to the accumulation of dust and surface stains: dirt penetrates the fabric and is difficult to remove. If your sofa does not have a removable cover, cleaning can be a real nightmare.
There are numerous products on the market to clean the surfaces of sofas and armchairs. However, if you do not want to find out which fabric is best for your sofa, you can try completely natural, effective and safe methods.
A mild detergent, for example, can help a lot. Mix it with water until it becomes a foam and rub it well into the stain with a small amount using a towel.
White vinegar is another effective natural ingredient that is often used in household cleaning. Although it is effective against stains, it is advisable to always add a little water and dishwashing liquid after use to ensure a thorough cleaning of the sofa.
How to clean sofas and armchairs
1. Vacuum
Before proceeding with the use of stain removers, pass the vacuum cleaner over the entire surface of the sofa or armchair to remove as much dust as possible. Use the right accessory to avoid damaging the fabric: a fine brush is ideal.
2. Clean only the stained part
Wet a towel with white vinegar and rub it gently into the visible stains. Remember not to apply too much pressure and make sure the chamber is well ventilated.
