Lasagna noodles

Pizza sauce

Ricotta cheese

Mozzarella cheese

Parmesan cheese

Ground beef or sausage

Bell peppers

Onion

Mushrooms

Italian seasoning

Directions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get things started.

2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions, then drain them and set aside.

3. In a large skillet, brown your ground beef or sausage with chopped onions, bell peppers, and mushrooms. Cook until everything is nicely browned and the veggies smell irresistible, then drain any excess fat.

4. Grab your favorite baking dish and start layering: begin with a layer of noodles, followed by pizza sauce, a generous scoop of the meat and veggie mixture, dollops of ricotta, and a sprinkle of mozzarella.

5. Keep layering in the same order until you’ve used up your ingredients, finishing with a hearty layer of mozzarella and a good dusting of Parmesan on top. Add a sprinkle of Italian seasoning for that classic touch.

6. Slide it into the oven and bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

7. Let your pizzagna rest for about 10 minutes before slicing—this will help it set up so you get beautiful, cheesy layers in every piece. Serve warm and enjoy!
