Ingredients:

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Cooked pasta, rice, or crusty bread for serving

Instructions:

  1. Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. Lower heat to medium and add remaining butter. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add lemon juice and parsley, stir to combine.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another minute to heat through.
  7. Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.

Tips:

  • Use fresh shrimp for best flavor.
  • Adjust Cajun seasoning and red pepper flakes to control spiciness.
  • Garnish with extra parsley and lemon wedges for freshness.
