Ingredients:

3
  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye or sirloin steak
  • 1 sheet pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup provolone cheese, shredded or chopped
  • 1 small green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: marinara sauce for dipping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cook the filling: In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, then sauté onions and peppers until soft, about 5–6 minutes. Add the sliced steak, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until just browned. Let cool slightly.
  3. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle (about 10×14 inches).
  4. Layer the filling: Spread mozzarella and provolone down the center of the dough, then spoon the steak mixture on top.
  5. Fold & seal: Fold in the short edges, then roll the long side over the filling to seal. Place seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  6. Egg wash: Beat the egg and brush it over the stromboli for a golden finish. Cut a few slits on top for ventilation.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Cool slightly before slicing. Serve with warm marinara sauce if desired.

This Mozzarella Cheesesteak Stromboli delivers everything you love about a Philly cheesesteak—melty cheese, juicy steak, and sautéed veggies—all tucked into a golden crust for a satisfying, easy-to-eat meal.
