Old Fashioned Cream Cheese Pound Cake

2

Ingredients

1 cup cream cheese, softened

4

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

3 cups granulated sugar

6 large eggs

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

1. Set your oven to 325°F (160°C) and grease and flour a bundt pan so your cake slips out perfectly later.

2. In a large bowl, blend the cream cheese and butter together until they’re nice and smooth.

3. Slowly add in the sugar, beating after each addition until the mixture is light and fluffy.

4. Add the eggs one at a time, making sure to beat well after each one goes in.

5. Gently stir in the flour, vanilla, and salt, mixing just until everything is combined—don’t overmix.

6. Pour your batter into the prepared bundt pan, smoothing out the top.

7. Place in the oven and bake for 60-75 minutes. You’ll know it’s ready when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

8. Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack and allow it to cool completely before slicing and serving.
