Homemade Beef Lo Mein

2

Ingredients

4

8 oz lo mein noodles

1 lb beef, sliced thinly

2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, onions, snow peas)

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

3 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 tablespoon sesame oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. Start by cooking the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Once they’re just right, drain them and set them aside.

2. Grab a large skillet or wok and heat up the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

3. Add the thinly sliced beef, cooking it until it’s browned and just cooked through—usually about 3 to 4 minutes. Once it’s done, transfer the beef to a plate and set it aside.

4. In that same pan, toss in the minced garlic and your mixed vegetables. Give them a quick stir-fry for about 2 to 3 minutes, just until the veggies are tender but still have that lovely crunch.

5. Now, return the beef to the skillet along with the cooked noodles. Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Toss everything together so the noodles and beef soak up all those wonderful flavors. Let it all cook together for another 2 to 3 minutes.

6. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.

7. Serve your Beef Lo Mein piping hot and enjoy every bite!
