Ingredients:
– 1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)
– 8 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)
– 2 large eggs
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/2 cup chocolate chips
– Butter or oil for frying
– Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
– Chocolate sauce for drizzling
Directions:
1. First, you’ll want to take your slices of bread and gently flatten them with a rolling pin.
2. Grab a small bit of cookie dough and place it on one end of each flattened slice.
3. Roll the bread up nice and snug around the cookie dough, pinching the edges to seal it all in.
4. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until nicely combined.
5. Heat your skillet over medium, adding in some butter or oil.
6. One by one, dip those roll-ups into your egg mixture, letting them soak up all that goodness.
7. Place them gently in the hot skillet, seam side down, and cook until they’re golden brown on each side, about 3-4 minutes per side.
8. Once they’re done, lift them from the skillet and, if you like, give them a light dusting of powdered sugar.
9. To finish, drizzle a bit of chocolate sauce on top and scatter some chocolate chips before serving. Enjoy!
