Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Directions:
Start by heating your oven to 350°F (175°C) and get two baking sheets ready with parchment paper. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter and granulated sugar until they’re nice and smooth. Next, add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is well combined. Slowly sift in the cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt, and mix until smooth. Then, gradually fold in the flour until you have a thick batter. Stir in the chocolate chips, too. Use a tablespoon or a cookie scoop to drop rounded balls of the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, keeping them about 2 inches apart. Pop them in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers still look a bit underbaked. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely. If you like, dust them with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy these delicious cookies with a glass of milk!
