Country Apple Fritter Bread

Ingredients:

1/3 cup light brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

2/3 cup white sugar

1/2 cup butter, softened

2 eggs

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and white sugar until it’s light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and ground cinnamon. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, mixing just until blended. If you like, you can fold in diced apples at this stage. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top. Bake it in the oven for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, allow the bread to cool in the pan for a few minutes before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy the sweet aroma as it bakes.
