Ingredients:
– 1 lb beef tenderloin, cut into strips
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup beef broth
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 1 cup sour cream
– 1 tablespoon flour
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley for garnish
Directions:
First, heat your olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and brown them in batches to ensure even cooking, then set them aside. In the same skillet, add the chopped onions and minced garlic, sautéing them until they’re soft, which should take about three minutes. Sprinkle in the flour and stir, cooking for another minute. Gradually pour in the beef broth, whisking as you go to avoid lumps. Add the Worcestershire sauce, stir, and let the mixture simmer for about five minutes. Turn the heat down to low, and add the beef back into the skillet. Mix in the sour cream and let everything cook until the sauce thickens, roughly five more minutes. Add salt and pepper to your liking. This dish is perfect when served over egg noodles or rice and finished with a sprinkle of fresh parsley. Enjoy!
