Homemade Meatloaf

2

Ingredients

4

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup milk

2 large eggs

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

1. Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C), so it’s nice and hot when you’re ready to bake.

2. In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and a good pinch of salt and pepper.

3. Roll up your sleeves and gently mix everything together with your hands or a wooden spoon. Keep mixing until all the ingredients are just combined—try not to overwork the mixture.

4. Scoop the mixture into a loaf pan, patting it into a nice, even loaf shape.

5. Slide it into the oven and let it bake for about 1 hour. You’re looking for an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).

6. Once it’s done, take it out and give it a little time to rest—about 10 minutes does the trick. Then slice it up and serve your cozy homemade meatloaf. Enjoy!
