Ingredients
1 cup cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
1/4 cup pecans, chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg (optional, for glaze)
Directions
1. Preheat your oven as directed on the cinnamon roll dough package.
2. In a medium bowl, blend together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, chopped strawberries, and vanilla extract until everything is well mixed and creamy.
3. Gently roll out the cinnamon roll dough and spread that luscious cream cheese mixture evenly over the surface.
4. Roll the dough back up, just like you’re making a jelly roll, and slice it into even rolls.
5. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish and sprinkle the tops with chopped pecans for a little crunch.
6. Bake according to the instructions on the cinnamon roll package, until the rolls are golden and the filling is bubbly.
7. If you’d like a glaze, whisk the egg with a little sugar, then drizzle it over the warm rolls right after they come out of the oven.
8. Serve these rolls warm and enjoy every bite!
