- Make the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, chicken broth, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Cook chicken: Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and stir-fry until no longer pink and slightly browned, about 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Cook broccoli: Add the remaining oil and sauté broccoli for 2–3 minutes. Add 2–3 tbsp water, cover, and steam for 2 more minutes until crisp-tender.
- Combine: Return chicken to the pan. Add garlic and ginger, stir-fry for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add sauce and toss everything to coat. Cook 2–3 more minutes until sauce thickens and everything is well glazed.
- Serve hot over rice, garnished with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.
Tips:
- Slice chicken thinly for quicker cooking.
- Add bell peppers, snap peas, or carrots for extra color and flavor.
- Make it spicy with chili flakes or a dash of sriracha.
