Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz Brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small pieces
  • ½ cup cranberry sauce (fresh or store-bought)
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin.

2. Prepare puff pastry

Unfold the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut into 12 equal squares.

3. Form cups

Gently press each puff pastry square into the mini muffin tin cups, creating little pastry shells.

4. Fill the cups

Place a small piece of Brie into each pastry shell, then top with about a teaspoon of cranberry sauce.

5. Egg wash

Beat the egg with a tablespoon of water and brush the edges of each pastry cup to help them brown beautifully.

6. Bake

Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed and golden brown and the Brie is melted.

7. Garnish and serve

Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary if desired. Serve warm.

Tips:

  • Use a good quality cranberry sauce for the best flavor.
  • Add a small sprinkle of chopped nuts (like pecans or walnuts) for extra texture.
  • These can be made ahead and baked just before serving.
